Sinopsis Movie

Olive Penderghast (emma stone) merupakan siswa SMA yang cantik yang kurang diperhatikan. Ketika olive membantu teman pria nya yang diganggu setiap hari dengan melakukan kebohongan berpura-pura tidurnya maka hidupnya mulai berubah.

Saat Olive berbohong ia baru saja kehilangan keperawanannya, maka berita ini pun dengan segera menyebar kemana-mana. Awalnya reputasi ini membuat sedikit risih, tetapi tak mungkin mengubahnya kecuali ia akan disebut sebagai seorang pembohong. Setelah itu reputasi baru ini ternyata bisa mendatangan keuntungan buat olive baik dari sisi sosial maupun sisi finansial. Olive terus membantu teman-teman sekelasnya yang meminta olive untuk berpura-pura tidur dengan mereka dan mendapatkan keuntungan sebesar-besarnya. Dan semakin lama kebohongan ini mendatangkan masalah yang lebih besar.
