Sinopsis Movie
Pasca pertarungannya dengan Iron Monger, identitas Iron Man yang semula dirahasiakan oleh Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) akhirnya terbongkar. Pihak militer merasa bahwa teknologi yang digunakan Tony untuk membangun baju besi yang ia gunakan saat menjadi Iron Man bisa dimanfaatkan oleh pihak militer dan mendesak Tony untuk membeberkan rahasia baju zirah ini.
Tony yang sudah merasa pesimis dengan bisnis senjata berusaha untuk menolak tawaran pihak militer ini. Celakanya, bukan hanya pihak militer saja yang tahu identitas rahasia Iron Man. Pers dan masyarakat terlanjur tahu dan ini menjadi beban tambahan buat Tony yang tak mengira bahwa risiko membuka identitasnya akan seperti ini. Tony Stark sebenarnya punya alasan kuat kenapa ia tak bersedia membagikan rahasia baju besi Iron Man. Tony tak ingin rahasia ini jatuh ke tangan orang yang berniat jahat dan memanfaatkan teknologi ini untuk kepentingan pribadi.
Tak tahu pada siapa harus percaya, Tony kini hanya bergantung pada bantuan Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) dan James Rhodes (Don Cheadle) saja karena ada beberapa orang yang ternyata juga mengincar rahasia baju zirah ini termasuk Whiplash (Mickey Rourke) yang punya dendam pribadi pada keluarga Stark, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) yang ditugaskan memata-matai Stark Industries, dan Justin Hammer (Sam Rockwell) yang ingin menguasai bisnis senjata.

After the fight with Iron Monger, Iron Man identity which was originally kept secret by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) finally uncovered. The military feels that the technology used by Tony to build a suit of armor that he uses when the Iron Man can be used by the military and urged Tony to reveal the secret of this armor.
Tony who already feel pessimistic about the business of weapons trying to reject this offer of the military. Unfortunately, not just the military alone knows the secret identity of Iron Man. The press and the public already knows and has become an additional burden for Tony who had no idea that the risk of revealing his identity would be like this. Tony Stark actually have a good reason why he was not willing to share the secrets of Iron Man's armor. Tony did not want these secrets fall into the hands of evil people who intend to utilize this technology for personal gain.
Do not know on whom to believe, Tony is now only dependent on the help of Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) and James Rhodes (Don Cheadle) only because there are some people who turned out to also target the secret of this armor include Whiplash (Mickey Rourke) who has a personal grudge Stark family, the Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) who are assigned to spy on Stark Industries, and Justin Hammer (Sam Rockwell) who wants to master the weapons business.
